Wordless Wednesday: Lake Hartwell

I am very, very pleased with these photos of my beloved Lake Hartwell, which is right on the South Carolina/Georgia border.

A couple of years ago on Thanksgiving, I blogged about how upset I was over the low-water levels. I am SO HAPPY to report that the water level is back up, and Lake Hartwell once again looks big, blue and beautiful.

It's as pretty close-up as it is on film. :)

Happy Wordless Wednesday, everyone!

The lake does look really full and healthy. Great photos and views.

Is that a current photo. It looks a lot warmer than either New York or California right now.

We've had a good few months for rain, yeah? :) Hope it lasts.

At 3:35am here, it's about 23 degrees. The ocean is the only thing keeping us that warm. It doesn't seem to be getting any lower in water level.

Catsynth, yes! Took these on Thanksgiving weekend, which was relatively warm. Now? Freezing rain last night and gross. Ahhh, winter in Carolina!

We got a lot of wind and rain lately. I remember last Wednesday afternoon when we got a lot of win and rain in Williston. I even felt it when I was travelling on WILLISTON WAY, one of the more well-traveled secondary roads in Barnwell County. Thurmond Lake is also near full pool, if it is not there by now.

My mom and I were discussing the lake levels just yesterday and I said we should go by and check it out soon...

How beautiful. I can see why you love it so.

PS Yes, latkes are vegetarian. I'll be adding the recipe to my post sometime this weekend. (It's actually from a children's book in my daughter's room so I can't get it now.)
