Almost curtains for Newt? We can only hope

You can click to enlarge. (Thanks again to Yellowdog Granny!)

And for those of you who believe we jest, here is Jonah Goldberg's National Review column (you've been warned!) quoting and further analyzing Newt's statements about putting poor kids to work, scrubbing toilets.

Apparently Newt is unaware that lots of us have already had those jobs, and now they go to the undocumented immigrants he wants to keep here in the country working on the cheap. (Does he understand that this is a fundamental contradiction, like most of what he says?)

If I can figure this much out, maybe *I* should be the one running for president.

The Iowa Caucus (not primary, as I incorrectly stated previously) is tomorrow, and hopefully, Newtie will go away after that. However, there is a monster-sized NEWT GINGRICH FOR PRESIDENT sign down near the mall, so I expect him to do fairly well here in the Palmetto State.

Stay tuned, sports fans!

I just can't believe ANYONE would support, vote for or take him seriously.

Why not JoJo, they took that sorry idiot Obama serious... You fail to realize the depth of human stupidity, and then there is the case of rounding up all the welfare queens just to vote for Obama. You see, I consider it the acme of human stupidity to believe Republicans inherently evil while holding to the foolish notion that Democrats are out for our well being. Like when the government provides for your well being?--- move your behind to North Korea. Socialism doesn't work- and it isn't gonna work just because we try it in America... And Dasiy delete this if you are so inclined- I have come to the belief that liberals don't really want two-way exchanges of facts and ideas. Have a nice day, and hope to hear you Saturday...

West, as Napoleon said (paraphrasing): Never interrupt your opposition while they are making total asses of themselves. Please, carry on with your racist "welfare queens" comment, which lets everyone know exactly why they should not listen to you. Deleting would be nicer, you realize?

Yes, you have a nice day too! Newt placed 4th in Iowa, the most literate state in the country. And good for them.

Why are you so racist as make the inference that all welfare queens are black? I made no such implication. Yes, Newt placed fourth, I wish it was lower so he would be persuaded to drop out of the running. I personally can't stand the man's politics. More of the same as far as I am concerned. To keep doing what we have been doing and to expect different results is just plain insanity.
Napolean also said,"Truth alone wounds."... didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings... Look forward to hearing your guest Saturday...

Since I was on AFDC for two years, you are talking about me, so I will thank you to take your classist crap elsewhere. I am alive and my child is alive, so I make no apologies for that. The vast majority of people on AFDC are on it for two years or less, it is not a lifestyle. That is a right-wing lie. Further, the amount given to mothers for children is a pittance compared to the money for the military and to bomb babies from abroad. Give all the bomber-money to the children for free college educations!

Socialism hasn't been tried yet, so we really don't know if it will work or not, do we? Otherwise, we wouldn't have bail-outs wherein Goldman Sachs gets $800 million but American kids can't go to college because they are poor. What a crock.

The 4.7 million families currently receiving Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) have already spent, on average, six-and-a-half years on welfare. OK, but I don't have a problem with that. My problem is YOU liberals believing Republicans = BAD, while believing Democrat = GOOD. It isn't that way.
Bombing baibes is a bit dramatic- but I'll give you that- then let's stop bombing, I agree. I don't understand why pro-abortion people don't want the government in the womb, but then turn around and want government in ALL healthcare.
As far as Socialism not being tried, I beg to differ.

Daisy, I wish we were neighbors. I would have you seeing my way... eventually. It should be about what is best for the country. I would like the US to split into 6 smaller countries- you can have the Northeast- and Ohio, and be socialist. We are 15 Trillion in the hole- what about that do we not understand? We don't have the money anymore. I say store up food and supplies for hard times- they are coming. It is no longer about who we bailed out- I am against bailing out the rich- and against feeding the hungry- we simply can't afford it. 10 Trillion on the great society since circa 65- and we are no better off. the figure I read for the "RICH" and the TARP was 475 Billion. And we are no better off. Welfare creates a dependent class of unmotivated slackers, I hate to sound mean, but hunger provides some serious motivation. Just my thoughts. And yes, maybe this does sound like I am an ass... but we are still 10 Trillion in the hole.

1) Have you been listening to my radio show or someone else's? I am not a liberal, I am a radical. Big difference. I criticize Democrats on virtually every show, if you have been listening, starting with our ineffectual president.

When (possibly) the world's most famous Democrat died, I took the heat for THREE POSTS and virtually ate him for dinner... and as a result, my blog was blacklisted and de-linked by about a 100 other liberal bloggers.

So, I kinda resent what you are saying here.

2) True Socialism has NEVER been tried, and if you would like to argue this point country-by- country, I would be happy to explain to you where the so-called socialist country in question departed from their socialistic principles. As Trotsky explained (and got an icepick in his head for his trouble), when you try to mix socialism with capitalism, the capitalism will always extinguish the socialism. Anyway, name the country, and I will show you when and where they went off the reservation. I am of course assuming you know about the big fiascos like USSR and China, but if you are one of those diehards that still believes Enver Hoxha or Fidel is socialist, I am ready to argue the point.

3) North Korea? I'd settle for France or Canada.

4) Bring the troops home from every backwater and military base in THE WORLD, according to Ron Paul, and we'd have your $10 Trillion back without having to change a THING. Really.

5) Where did you get your 6 and a half years stat? Link?

Daisey, What is the difference between a radical and a liberal? It seems to me that all your comics are critical of Republicans? And true socialism has never been tried? Or is it that capitalism takes over? Maybe capitalism is just better so it wins out! I mean, how hard is it to realize capitalism is not the enemy here?... The problem is "the best government has to offer to the highest bidder" - as perveyed by both Republicans and Democrats. If you are such a radical, and I don't doubt you are, (I do listen and enjoy your show)help us both by questioning unbridled dedication to Democrats and unbridled hatred of Republicans, neither does anyone any benefit. As for the statistics on the AFDC, they are hard since AFDC was reppaced by TANF in 1996, stats are convaluted and old, and often not separated. I can't find my stat again, it was one of my conservative sites though. Just being honest here. France or Canada, are you for real-- I call bull, sorry, I love YA! but I call bull...

1) A radical thinks outside the box, liberals stick to the established (liberal) script.

2) Nope, true socialism with no profit incentives in govt has never been tried, not even Pol Pot refused payoffs.

3) France and Canada have basic education and health care rights for their people, which is the reason I named them as (obviously) better governments that than the USA... and this besides the fact that they don't have military bases in 150 other countries and aren't currently meddling in other countries' business.

Maybe that's why they can afford health care and education.
