I dropped by Feline Urgent Rescue on Laurens Road yesterday. This one is still lodged in the old Petsmart; the new one on Woodruff Road has glass cages, and I don't like it very much. I like this one, since I can stick my hand inside the cages. (Yes, probably some liability issue, and some kids have likely stuck their hand in the wrong cage--but I have only been rewarded with purring.)
If I could, I'd take every single one home. I love them all. My best kitties have all been strays.
The second kitty is ENORMOUS, almost bobcat size, but a real sweet pussycat. But I think he might be hard to keep inside!

Oh, they are too beautiful. I volunteered for a shelter that housed at a Petsmart for a few years. That's actually where all three of my current kitties come from. Happy Wordless!
All of the dogs I've ever had have been rescues in one form or another. They really do make the best pets. I wouldn't even know how to go about getting a pet any other way.
Oh, sweet! I wish I could help more animals, but I have enough in my house, lol 7 kids, 2 cats, a dog and some fish.
Daisy's mom here:
They are so cute! At our local shelter, there have been a couple of really special extra-big male cats lately, so now I kind of have a thing for big male cats. Of course, I still love my tiny little 7 pound Daisy-bug! Now that we have Harley, Daisy seems so tiny.
I find it really hard to go near these places..especially when I know so many of them can't find homes...I am glad that their are wonderful people out there who help them.....
(thanks for visiting my blog...come back as often as you like... :) )
Oh, they are very sweet!
Oh, how sad. Cats are such great pets too.eares
Pretty cats. I hope they find a forever home soon. I think they really get over shadowed by all the dog rescue groups.
I love cats! They are so beautiful.

We love kitties and always pick strays. Great way to feature them.
Thanks for visiting the blog today. The bra does look itchy.
Although I'm not much of a cat person (allergic), I have to say that I love that gray one! What a big kitty!
Hope they get a good home! I got my kitty as an unwanted pet from someone. I really don't know why someone could just put out a sweet little animal like that.
*sob*
So sweet! The eyes on that second cat are about to kill me. Gorgeous.
If I wasn't allergic, my house would be full of them, too!
Enjoy the rest of your day. :)
Great shots of the felines and I wish I could stick in my hand too!
Poor things, I had the feeling to visit prisoners in jail !
Hope they will find a home soon !
Wow! That's good to know. I like their colors.
I'd take the first one...he's the spitting image of my last cat, Lennix. I miss him still. Thanks for the great photos, Daisy!
Oh me gosh, they're gorgeous! I love cats!v I used to have lots of cats as pets but after I got married, hubby doesn't fancy furry-four-legged friends. :(
I use to adopt cats as well, they are better because they are not spoiled. it is so good of you to welcome them in your house.
They look adorable. I hope they find kind hearted people and good homes.
Thanks for visiting my other blog.
