To the people who just got dropped from my blogroll

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM GENERAL MANAGEMENT OF DEAD AIR!

If I am too low-class for you to acknowledge that I even exist, even after I have linked you for over two years, I guess my de-linking certainly won't bother you now.

A reciprocal link would have been nice. Failing that, an acknowledgment that I exist and that I am a human being with emotions, would be pleasant.

If Technorati ratings are important to you, keep in mind, all you had to do was say hello, to keep a link from me. Next time, show some common decency!

Have a nice day.

Out of curiosity, how would one find out if someone linked them?

Or is it customary to just tell the blogger in question that you linked them?

Bryce, oh hell yes. Not sure why I thought lefty Blogdonia would be any different from real life! I was dreaming, as usual.

Diesel, I always comment on people's blogs, and I usually tell them. (If I don't tell them, I don't expect them to know.)

But you can find out on Technorati, also.

The people I dropped have been deliberately avoiding me, for reasons unknown. I figure I am too low-class or not young and "edgy" enough. In any event, tired of politely overlooking their enduring unkindness. I won't be commenting on their blogs any more either. (Honestly, sometimes I wonder why I don't have any more self-respect than I do. Why have I let this situation go on for over TWO YEARS?)

Reminds me to add the tag "you know who you are"...

Doesn't it seem like Technorati has not been working right for the past couple of months? My authority went from something like 330 to under 100 almost overnight!

DaisyDeadhead said...

Daisy, ohhhh yeah, I went from the 130s down to 40, pretty pathetic!

That's why I thought people might actually NOTICE if they start getting dropped now. Heh. ;)

hee hee.

Sorry. Can't help it, I love watching someone get told how it is.
Also, the "You know who you are" tag makes me laugh. Muchly.

Does Technorati give a distinct list of who linked you? That's actually really useful o_o

DaisyDeadhead said...

Polerin, yeah! I've decided I'm too nice, believe it or not. :P

Diesel, yes, they do, but some blogs do not show up if unregistered or "unlisted" (private blogs, etc). Mine is registered on Technorati, so I know it does.

But even so, being consistently ignored over a period of 2+ years is kinda hard to miss. ;)

Daisy - You have changed from a human to a cat and then back to a human in 3 comments.

I think I go lie down now.

I use Statcounter to see where people are coming from - not that I'm really blogging these days! Thanks for not dropping me even though I haven't updated much in forever .__.

I think I did a while back, but I could be wrong... In case I didn't, you're linked to at my newer blog, Femi-Nation I know you've commented there before, so I'm pretty sure I told you... Sorry, not feeling too well, so everything's coming out sorta awkwardly lol

Well, when one day I actually finally get my blogroll sorted out you know you'll be on it.

But when that day is... nobody knows not even me!

I 'Follow' you and get your posts on my Dashboard, but you may not be a visible link on my blogs.
I had to trash my links when they were used by a notorious local commentor with no blog of his own.

I also follow you and use Dashboard to keep up with your posts. My blog is set up to show the ten most recent posts in my Dashboard. I follow almost 60 blogs. So, just to let you know.

I've tried Technorati, but had to let it drop.

But it's liberating, isn't it, to be able to cut out drains in your life at the push of a button! If only we could do that in real life. It's hard to remember sometimes how easy it is to say "no" and push back online, too.

Ruth, I enjoy being "Flickr friends" with you-- I just love your photos! :)

Mike, you get some real live ones over there!
