Joe is definitley a good one for the job. He knows his stuff and has international cred. He also has the perfect mix of a gentle, but firm, demeanor.

In a debate with any GOP governor(Romney, Huckabee, etc.) he would wipe the floor with them. He has vast knowledge and experience regarding domestic and foreign affairs.

Joe also fairly pointed to McCain's shift to the far right.

Note how cleanly he tagged Johnny McBush as having no idea how to change anything for the better for our future.

His joke about normal families being able to sit around only one kitchen table, (not seven) to discuss financial problems clearly illustrated who the elitist is.

I think he made a really good choice.

As an observer from afar, it does seem like Biden is a good choice. He can outflank the Republican attacks on foreign policy (not that McCain's any good on this score - didn't he say he though Iraq and Pakistan share a common border?) and has the working class "creds" that could appeal to those who gave their votes to Bush last time.

It will be interesting to see who McCain can come up with as a counter-weight.

I was a bit surprised at the choice, but not at Biden's first criticisms of McCain. They were predictable enough. I hope the Obama/Biden team can stay out of the mud-slinging business and stick with the "change" agenda. And mainly, I hope middle-America can do the right thing on election day.

Hillary would make a good Secretary of State. Does anyone agree?
